Sunday Stealing Meme

The Sunday thieves strike again, here are the Sunday Stealing questions:

Cheers to all of us thieves!

1. If you could interview anyone on your blog (alive or dead) who would you chose and why?
-I would love to interview PNoy (Pres. Noynoy Aquino); I would like to know in his honest opinion if he feels he is the right person for the position.

2. What do you feel is your strength as a blogger?
-I think my strength would be my vast experience about life; I would like to share it with my readers and hope that they will be able to learn a thing or two from me.

3. Can you share a little bit about yourself that you have not already mentioned on your blog?
-I hate doing household chores, I am too lazy to do that but I have no choice, I can't complain!

4. If you were forced to change the name of your blog, what would you change it to? Why?
-My two-cents worth; I would like to share my opinion about a lot of things.

5. What do you think is the most fulfilling part of being a blogger?
-Being able to do what I love which is writing and at the same time, earn money ..lol.

6. What would you do with your last day if you found you had only one more day to live?
-I would spend it with the people I love and ask for their forgiveness with my shortcomings.

7. You’ve been doing medical research for decades and have finally found a cure. What was it that you found a cure for and why did you choose this particular ailment?
-I am an epileptic, most cures are just temporary and a surgery is not a guarantee that everything would be well. I would love to find a cure for that!

8. What is your most guilty pleasure?
- Eat out with family; I love to treat my family and sometimes we'd go over budget.

9. Answer only one. What is your favorite book, movie or TV show?
-My all-time favorite movie is Independence Day; I've seen it a lot of times but I can't help but shed a tear every time I watch it.

10. What do you think is the very best smell in the world? The one smell that can take you back to a time and place of a very vivid memory in your past?
-The scent of the newborn baby is the best smell I can think of. I would always like to remember how it was the first time I held my kids.

My Little Corner

My little corner
Before I got a full time writing job (again my endless thanks to Fedhz), the computer is in our room. Since I need to stay on-line most of the time; I can't afford to stay all day inside our room. I need to run and manage the household too.
So what hubby did was to transfer the PC in the living room area. But I don't have my own computer table yet, so I sit on the floor in the living area;and would have to stand up whenever my kids' friends are around. My ever dependable hubby, found a solution again. He created a special place in the house, underneath the staircase, where I could work on my stuff without much disturbance from the kids.
This is my special nook; this is where articles, blog posts, blog comments and ebooks are being written. My rants and random thoughts are transformed into money; in this little corner.

Mommy Moments: do have a BIG appetite?

Last week, Mommy Moments was all about small things; and for this week's theme things got BIGGER.. I found the perfect entries for this week's BIG things.

Fresh tilapia from my Uncle Co's fish pond.
The little tilapia that you see, is actually the normal size tilapia (it's not one of those tiny tilapia that we love to fried). The BIG one weighs around 1kg; and we are proud to say that during harvest season, we have a lot of this Big fish.

Giant Pizza at Xtremely Xpresso

When my kids discovered this pizza, they would not go to other pizza parlor unless we go to Xtremely Xpresso. Large pizza from other pizza house is not comparable to this one. I can only eat a max of three slices.

If you have big appetite; you can try either the giant tilapia or the giant pizza; or better yet why not try  both.

Family That Prays Together

Just recently, my husband and I decided that every night we should pray together with our children. My hubby leads the prayer and me and the kids follow. I think this is a good way to teach children regarding faith in God. It is also the best way to show our children that prayer is important in our lives and that God will always answer our prayers but in His own time.f
My youngest son, who is only four years old is very excited about Christmas and his Christmas gift wish is part of our prayers too. He wish for Jesus to tell Santa Claus that he is a good boy and that Jesus should remind Santa Claus about his gift this Christmas.

Mommy and Me Monday

This is my first entry for Mommy and Me Monday.  I have so many photos with my kids; and it was really difficult to choose which one will be the best first entry. So I decided not to post my photo with my kids for my first entry. It was the photo of my mom and me when I was still a little baby.

That is my mom and the little baby she is holding is me.

Mommy Moments: So Little

This week's theme for Mommy Moments is about any little things. It was difficult for me to decide on what to post for this week's theme. I was looking through some old photos, and this is what I found:

That's my Mom and that little baby is me

This photo was taken August of 1975, I was only two months old at this time. I can't believe how time slipped through our hands so fast. The little baby that my mom is holding is also a mommy now.

Me with my youngest son

This picture was taken August 2006, exactly 31 years after that photo with my mom. Little babies bring so much joy in our lives.

Everything for my Kids

There was one point in my life wherein I became a solo parent to my three kids. That was the time when hubby decided to go abroad for greener pasture. But now he is back for good, we share responsibilities in rearing our child. Yup! you read it right; we only have one child ; my two other kids are from previous marriage. Luckily though, he also helps me in rearing for my two other children.

Although I know my kids have the right to get financial support from their father; I did not insist in doing that. I have my pride and I know I can support my kids with or without their father's support. With God's grace, I have been able to do it for the past 6 years (my mom helps me out with their schooling--thanks Mamita!)

Eventhough I know it's my kids right to get their financial support from their dad, I would rather not do it unless he volunteers to do so. I am not the type who would look like I am begging for the financial support. They are my kids, they are under my custody therefore it is my never-ending responsibility to my children to provide them their needs (be it financial and emotional needs).

Many would disagree with me, but when I ended the relationship with my ex, I also decided to end hoping and waiting for whatever meager financial support he can provide. I am a woman and I brought my children out in this world; therefore I would take responsibility for them with or without a man's help.

PacMan Did it Again

Manny Pacquiao made another history in the world of boxing; he now holds 8 boxing title. No other boxer has made such feat, it is something that all Filipinos should be proud of. He won over another Mexican boxer during the fight known as "The Tale of the Tape"

photo not mine,

The recent fight with Antonio Margarito proved that size does not matter. It is how you perform and how determine a person is in achieving goal. Another thing that I salute about Pacman was the fact that he is not proud despite his achievements. That was shown during the fight when he kept looking at the referee to make sure that his opponent is still okay. Some boxers might use that chance to show-off their boxing skills, but our dear Kababayan showed compassion to his opponent.

He is a true epitome of a sportsman. Manny Pacquiao makes me say that I am still proud to be a Pinoy!

Btw, if only the referee heed to Manny Pacquiao's call to stop the fight during the 11th round, my hubby could have won the bet. LOL!

Saturday Sightings #02: Our Little Community

My Saturday Sighting is our simple community. This is our small community plaza and church. Our place is Xevera Bacolor Pampanga (owned by the controversial Globe Asiatique). Our small community has its own church, school and commercial area. This is where we spend lazy afternoon. The kids would just run around and enjoy the fresh air.

Mommy Moments: Favorite Color

This week's Mommy Moment's theme is all about kids' favorite color. Since I have three boys, I thank God that none of them like pink (whew!).

My eldest child Jet's favorite color is blue, since among his siblings he possess the not-so-fair color (Pinoy na Pinoy), we are having a hard time looking for the best color that will fit his skin tone. But then again, he favors blue

On the other hand, my middle child Gabby (my Golden Child - he has albinism) would fit any color. But amongst his favorite is orange and yellow. Most of his clothes are on the citrus shade.

My youngest son Jeon definitely love the green. His school uniform is green and he looks good in the shade of green.

Little boys clothes and stuff are not as exciting as the little girls. I am such a spoiler, I guess that's why God didn't give me a little girl; because it will be way too expensive to buy those cute girly stuff. I would definitely go out of budget most of the time. Have a great weekend.

wOur client was quite satisfied with my work; and now he asks me to go one step ahead aside from writing articles. Although I really don't have an idea on what will I do with the new task assigned; I am still thankful because I will be learning new things which will help me in the future.

Here is the letter I got from my boss:
email from my boss

It will be a new challenge, but I hope to learn more and more in this new found field. Thanks to my other boss Fedhz for this wonderful opportunity.

Kids Enjoyed Our Anniversary Too

Since we live on our own, we have no choice but to bring along the kids wherever we go even during our wedding anniversary date. Last friday, 5th of November the kids were with us during our dinner date. In fact, they ordered their favorite dishes during our dinner.

Beef with Brocolli for Kuya Jet

Pork Sisig for Kuya Gabby

Pork Sinigang for our bunso Jeon

I thought that there would be a lot of leftovers after this dinner, but I was wrong! They were able to finish everything. Just look at these happy faces.

oops. sorry for the blurred photo (l-r: gab, jeon and jet)

MM: It Comes in All Shapes

The Mommy Moments theme for this week is shapes. I had a hard time looking for photos of my kids holding a particular shape in their hands. They would not want to pose for a new photo, (they are not fond of pictures) but I think these photos would do.

Kuya Gabby

My middle child Gabby, enjoying a peaceful ride in a rectangular shaped boat. This was taken last summer at my cousin's fish pond. They enjoyed their stay in that place, away from technology and closer to nature.

My bunso Jeon

He loves boxing, with or without those red boxing gloves. Definitely hyper-active and he enjoys rowdy games with his Kuya Jet and Kuya Gab. After a couple of minutes, you would hear someone screaming "Mommy!" it means somebody got hurt from the game. It's time to do the Mommy task of explaining things to them again.
