Mommy Moments: Most Memorable Mommy Moment 2010

mommy moments

The most memorable amongst the Mommy Moments entries that I have done so far would be my very first entry; it was the week wherein the theme was Before and After. I really had to look for old photos of my two kids ( they were born during the time I don't have a digital camera yet). Since I don't have my scanner set-up I have to settle for not so  "before" photos of them.

I have another favorite Mommy Moments entry; I think the theme for that week was So Little. I posted two generations pictures of my Mom holding me when I was a baby. The other picture was 30 yrs after, it was a picture of me holding my youngest son. In fact, my mom was so proud of the blog post that she even shared it in her Facebook account so her friends may see.

Although I just recently joined Mommy Moments, I always look forward to Fridays because I have to come up with my blog entry for the week. I am looking forward to sharing more Mommy Moments with other Mommy bloggers out there.

Have a Happy New Year!

Family That Prays Together

Just recently, my husband and I decided that every night we should pray together with our children. My hubby leads the prayer and me and the kids follow. I think this is a good way to teach children regarding faith in God. It is also the best way to show our children that prayer is important in our lives and that God will always answer our prayers but in His own time.f
My youngest son, who is only four years old is very excited about Christmas and his Christmas gift wish is part of our prayers too. He wish for Jesus to tell Santa Claus that he is a good boy and that Jesus should remind Santa Claus about his gift this Christmas.

Everything for my Kids

There was one point in my life wherein I became a solo parent to my three kids. That was the time when hubby decided to go abroad for greener pasture. But now he is back for good, we share responsibilities in rearing our child. Yup! you read it right; we only have one child ; my two other kids are from previous marriage. Luckily though, he also helps me in rearing for my two other children.

Although I know my kids have the right to get financial support from their father; I did not insist in doing that. I have my pride and I know I can support my kids with or without their father's support. With God's grace, I have been able to do it for the past 6 years (my mom helps me out with their schooling--thanks Mamita!)

Eventhough I know it's my kids right to get their financial support from their dad, I would rather not do it unless he volunteers to do so. I am not the type who would look like I am begging for the financial support. They are my kids, they are under my custody therefore it is my never-ending responsibility to my children to provide them their needs (be it financial and emotional needs).

Many would disagree with me, but when I ended the relationship with my ex, I also decided to end hoping and waiting for whatever meager financial support he can provide. I am a woman and I brought my children out in this world; therefore I would take responsibility for them with or without a man's help.

Me and 3 Musketeers (MM: Before and After)

Me and my kids (l-r: gab, jeon and jet)
This photo was taken three years ago, now my two sons are in their 'tweens and you can no longer ask them to join a family photo ops (unless I use my Mommy voice and look). I have always dream of having a daughter, but I guess God has other plans for me. Since I give birth via CS; the max number of kids I could have is three.

But who would need a daughter, if you have sons who are also trained doing household chores. They can be sweet if they wanted to (like if they are asking for a favor from me). I guess, I can still say that I am lucky to have three boys as my kids. Least to say, lesser worries too. Daughter's material needs can be very expensive compared to my sons'; but I have to work my butt to earn extra income because these boys eat like there's no tomorrow. As my hubby says, they are growing up kids so they to a lot of energy to burn hence they need to fuel that with constant eating.
